General Rules
The tournament would be conducted in two parts, the knockout rounds and the Swiss rounds.
Each player registered would be required to turn up on time, and there would be a 15 min walk-over system. One’s unavailability must be informed to the coordinators.
The knockout rounds would be on the Lichess website. Each participant is requested to set up their respective accounts before the commencement of the tournament.
Players are also requested to download the Chess Clock app on their phone.
There would be at least 2 knockout rounds and 5 Swiss rounds. This may be subject to change. The organizers would make the final decision.
Time Control - a) Knockouts - 5min + 3sec b) Swiss - 10min + 2sec
In case of a draw in the knockout rounds, a tiebreaker of 3min + 2sec would take place, followed by an Armageddon of 4min vs 3min, in case of another draw.
All the standard FIDE rules are to be applied.
In case of any dispute, the decision taken by the organizers would be deemed as final.
